Help FareShare source priority ingredients for our meals by running a food drive

Whether a school, business, community group or bunch of friends, you can run a food drive to help us source priority ingredients for our kitchen.

Our needs constantly change, so please contact us before you get started by emailing info@fareshare.net.au

Our rescue vans will collect 100kg or more of priority ingredients from the Melbourne metro area.

Priority food drive ingredients

Our chefs love receiving rice and pasta to accompany our casseroles, curries and tagines. These are universally popular foods which help make a great meal go a little bit further for someone in need. Dried short-form pasta such as penne is ideal.

Presently, our chefs also need dried chickpeas, cannellini beans, and borlotti beans to add to our nutritious ready-to-eat meals. Cans are fantastic and building a can castle can be a fun challenge for a food drive. Staples like vegetable oil and dried herbs and spices are always appreciated.

Please note that only the following foods can be accepted from domestic households or businesses that are not registered food businesses:

These donations must also meet the following conditions:

We regret that FareShare cannot accept the following products from domestic households or businesses that are not registered food premises:

Remember, our rescue vans will collect 100kg or more of priority ingredients from the Melbourne metro area. Otherwise, we invite you to drop off your food donation at our charity kitchen in Abbotsford. Thank you.

Massive thanks to these food drive supporters
