FareShare has a number of family members who volunteer together in our kitchens and gardens – couples, siblings, even parents and their children.
Now some of those relationships have crossed state borders.
Tracey joined our new Brisbane kitchen just after it opened in October, 2018 after hearing about FareShare on the ABC.
Tracey (pictured left) is one of our happiest volunteers and looks forward to her Monday morning kitchen shift which she finds extremely rewarding.
She shared our Queensland volunteer newsletter with niece Michaela (above right) in Melbourne. Michaela registered for kitchen volunteering and recently completed her first evening shift. She has also been lending a hand as a volunteer at the Baguley family farm growing vegies for us.
Great to see Tracey and Michaela keeping volunteering in the family despite the tyranny of distance!
