How to become a food donor

FareShare wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the support of our food donors. Some of these are weekly donors; others give from time to time, or simply when they can.

We receive food  from a wide range of food businesses and outlets: from supermarkets to local food stores; wholesale markets to catering companies; multinational food manufacturers to hospitality schools.

Food donors ring us up when they have a donation and we arrange a convenient time to collect the food from their premises.

Food items that are donated in good condition and in good faith for our work are covered by the Good Samaritan law which covers potential legal risks for donors.

If you have food that looks like it might be wasted, or know of someone else who does – either on a regular basis or from time to time – and would like to donate it, please call us. Ring Chris Scott on 9428 0044 or  0425 112 225 .

Food donor application form

We would love to hear from you and talk about how you might help the hungry and the homeless by donating food. Regular donations are wonderful because they allow us to plan our production ahead of time. However, we’re so creative that even a surprise one-off donation doesn’t throw us and we can conjure up a nutritious meal at the drop of a hat. Please fill out our donor application form and one of our dedicated crew will call you. Or you can just contact Chris Scott on 9428 0044,  0425 112 225  or email Thank-you!
